Effective date: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what information Tally (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at theapptally.com and to the Tally app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Account details: your email address and a password (stored in protected form).
- Budget details you enter: income, pay frequency, bills, savings goals, expenses, and similar numbers.
- Business plan details: contacts you add or import (names, companies, emails, phone numbers, notes), invoices, expenses, and the emails of team members you invite.
- Files you upload: for example a contacts file or a PDF you import. We read them to create contacts.
- Messages to us: anything you send to our support email.
Information from connected services.
- Bank connections (optional): if you connect a bank, Plaid shares account and transaction information with us, such as account names, balances, and transactions. We do not receive your bank username or password.
- Payments: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, subscription status, and billing details like the card’s last four digits. We do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as device type, browser, and error logs, used to keep Tally working and secure.
